Dragonborn -
The ancestors of dragonborn hatched from the eggs of chromatic and metallic dragons. One story holds that these eggs were blessed by the dragon gods Bahamut and Tiamat, who wanted to populate the multiverse with people created in their image. Another story claims that dragons created the first dragonborn without the gods' blessings. Whatever their origin, dragonborn have made homes for themselves on the Material Plane. Dragonborn look like wingless, bipedal dragons—scaly, bright-eyed, and thick-boned with horns on their heads—and their coloration and other features are reminiscent of their draconic ancestors.

Dragonborn Traits
Draconic Ancestry
Your lineage stems from a dragon progenitor. Choose the kind of dragon from the options below. Your choice affects your Breath Weapon and Damage Resistance traits as well as your appearance.
Breath Weapon
When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of your attacks with an exhalation of magical energy in either a 15-foot Cone or a 30-foot Line that is 5 feet wide (choose the shape each time). Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 8 plus your Constitution modifier and Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, a creature takes 1d10 damage of the type determined by your Draconic Ancestry trait. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage. This damage increases by 1d10 when you reach character levels 5 (2d10), 11 (3d10), and 17 (4d10). You can use this Breath Weapon a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
Damage Resistance
You have Resistance to the damage type determined by your Draconic Ancestry trait.
Darkvision
You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet.
Draconic Flight
When you reach character level 5, you can channel draconic magic to give yourself temporary flight. As a Bonus Action, you sprout spectral wings on your back that last for 10 minutes or until you retract the wings (no action required) or have the Incapacitated condition. During that time, you have a Fly Speed equal to your Speed. Your wings appear to be made of the same energy as your Breath Weapon. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a Long Rest.

Blending the beauty of flowers and the ferocity of dragons, floral dragonborns take after the mysterious and majestic floral dragons. Rather than the bold metallic or chromatic scales of their dragonborn kin, their coloring evokes the delicate or vibrant shades of flowers, and they share as many traits with plants as they do with dragons.
The first floral dragonborn emerged long ago as infants born to dragonborn parents. From the moment of their birth, it is clear that floral dragonborns are different from their dragonborn kin. As they grow to adulthood, their plantlike nature becomes more obvious—buds, blossoms, and leaves begin to sprout, mimicking the flowery frills and manes of floral dragons. They come to resemble the floral dragon they take after far more than their own parents.
What causes a floral dragonborn to be born is hotly debated. Some believe that parents spending a lot of time around a floral dragon is enough to infuse an unborn child with a floral essence. Others think that eating certain plants or vespon honey can influence their birth. The existence of floral dragonborn who take after elusive or antisocial floral dragons indicates that whatever the cause, proximity is not always necessary. Today, enough generations have passed since they first began to appear that many floral dragonborn are also born to floral dragonborn parents. Depending on their dragonborn clan and the type of flower the infant takes after, the arrival of a floral dragonborn child may be celebrated as a sign of good fortune or a sign or an omen of disaster.

Your dragonborn breath weapon blossoms out with the power of flowers. When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of your attacks with an exhalation of swirling magical petals in a 15-foot Cone. As buds burst into blossoms, you too can experience a brief burst of draconic might. Starting at 5th level, you can use a Bonus Action to manifest the draconic power of a floral dragon that fills you with vitality. For 1 minute, you regain 1d4 Hit Points at the start of each of your turns. Additionally, for the duration any creature that attacks you must first succeed on a Charisma saving throw (DC = 8 + your Charisma modifier + your Proficiency Bonus) or be forced to choose a different target for its attack. Once you use this trait, you can't do so again until you finish a Long Rest.
