Groundling Slayer
Medium Monstrosity, Neutral EvilSkulking Hybrid Servitors
Habitat Hill, Urban — Treasure Armaments
Groundlings are hairy, stinky bullies and insatiable carnivores. They use their claws not only to disembowel their victims but also to dig traps, tunnel beneath buildings, and excavate hiding spots from which to ambush prey.
Groundlings are created, not born. Most are magical mutations of fierce burrowing animals. Groundlings often serve as shock troops or assassins for their creators, though leaderless groundlings sometimes pursue lives as killers or mercenaries.
A groundling that learns subtlety and self-control becomes an efficient killer. These groundling slayers are often entrusted with solo missions of stealth or assassination or are assigned to keep fractious groundlings in line. Slayers usually wait until after a fight is over before consuming foes they've slain.
